There are several ways how one can reach Bled.

By plane

Ljubljana Airport – Approximately 30 km from Bled.  It is possible to use shuttle service  (organized by the conference agency Albatros, 18 EUR per person – book in advance) or taxi (airport-taxi – about 55 EUR; bled-taxi – about 45 EUR, on call) for transfer to/from  Bled. There are no direct buses from the airport to Bled.

Notice: Participants who have booked their transfer from Ljubljana Airport to Bled during the registration to the conference, will be awaited by the shuttle driver in the arrival lobby of the airport. The driver will hold a placard with the conference logo.

Alternative airports are connected to Ljubljana and Bled with GoOpti shuttle buses. Price and time schedule of buses vary, price for one direction is in the range from 30 EUR to 80 EUR per person. Early reservation usually means lower price.

By bus

There are regular buses from Ljubljana downtown to Bled (once per hour, the trip takes about 80 minutes). Info:

Bled is easily accessible via highways, about 50 km from Ljubljana, 360 km from Munich, 290 km from Venice.

Important: use of vignettes in Slovenia is obligatory for all vehicles with the permissible maximum weight of up to 3.500 kg on all toll roads, eventually all highways. Vignettes can be purchased on all petrol stations in Slovenia, Italy, Austria and in Croatia and in branch offices of automobile clubs.
